Scientists Want to Crowdfund A Meth Lab…No This Is Not A Breaking Bad Episode

Ethan O. Perlstein is an evolutionary pharmacologist and is currently asking for online support in crowdfunding a scientific meth lab.
No, this is not a part or plot taken from Breaking Bad.
His whole research and idea is to dive deep into finding out how amphetamines affect the human brain. Along with his colleague David Sulzer, professor at Columbia Medical School, both started RocketHub crowdfunding page and explains that this may explain the long and puzzling state of mental health research.
The obvious goal of the project is to see how humans cellular levels are affected by amphetamine use. The reserachers believe their findings will help bring more effective personalized treatments for the addiction. they currently have $10,000 out of the $25,000 needed with only 24 days left. The researchers promise to post their findings on the project’s homepage.
Might be time to seek Walter White friends!
The researchers will also have online meetings to discuss the findings and help the average person gain more science background for comprehension.
“Together we can create an open model of scientific research and communication for the Internet age and beyond.”
You think this research could yield some results that can alter the way we think about methamphetamine addiction?
