Female Version Of the Expendables In the Works? Apparently So…

First off, No Sigourney Weaver, Milla Jovovich, Michelle Yeoh, Angelina Jolie, Kate Beckinsale or Uma Thurman and you can take this idea off the table. Cappish?

The maker’s of such movies as Machine Gun Preacher and The Grey are apparently trying to round up women to do an all-female take on The Expendables after both movies were found to be successful.

Screenwriter Dutch Southern of Machine Gun Preacher and The Grey fame is said to have signed on along producer Adi Shankar and his company, 1984 Private Defense Contractors.

Although plans are being drawn up, casting has yet to be announced. the company did mention though that they are indeed in talks with prominent actresses affiliated with the action genre. So far, two names have been pulled up by the company being linked to the project and that’s Sigourney Weaver (Alien) and Linda Hamilton (Terminator 2).

Not a bad start to the casting process AT ALL!
