Soundgarden Confirm November Release…And We All Scream Hell Fuck Yeah!

Hi-five grunge/alternative fans, Soundgarden just confirmed a November release for their comeback studio album!
Yiiippeeee!
Why is this big you ask young jedi? Well, the band split up in 1996 and that same year was the last year the band released a formal studio album (which kicked ass btw!).
The band confirmed the release dates in a recent interview with Rolling Stone; November 12 in the UK and November 13 in the US for the record.
Here’s what guitarist Kim Thayil thnks of their new record:
“It re-establishes that we still rock, we’re still heavy, and we’re still a little weird.”
And that’s all we wanted to hear.
Here’s what singer Chris Cornell said of the album earlier in the year.
“We have an album coming out in the fall. It’s kind of hard to describe, it’s sort of picking up where we left off. There’s a lot of different feels on the album. We’re a band where every single member contributes music so that makes it very diverse. It’s a very rich album with a lot of different moods to it. I’m looking forward to putting out a whole album, where you get a collection of songs. We’re an album-orientated band, so I look forward to getting into long-form listening. That seems to have disappeared over the last 10 years, people seem to now be more into one song at a time.”
He couldn’t be anymore correct. I am stupid excited for this record, hoping it will continue the legacy of one of the planet’s greatest bands into the future.
I’m ready!
