Beastie Boys Sue Monster Energy Drink

The Beastie Boys ain’t having none of that Monster.

The Beastie Boys have filed a lawsuit against Monster Energy Drink bosses over copyright infringement.

The papers were filed this past Wednesday and in the suit, it claims that Monster executives have been using their tracks without permission in promotional videos and downloadable audio files.

Uh-Oh.

The lawsuit was filed just after two days after ‘MCA’s’ will was filed in Manhattan Surrogate court.

“The documents reveal Yauch had amassed a fortune of $6.4 million, which would be placed in a trust fund for his wife Dechen and their 13 year old daughter. His widow has been granted the right to sell and manage his artistic property.”

Problem is, Adam MCA Yauch, before passing, banned the use of his image, music and art for advertising purposes.
