Pixar, you never cease to amaze me…I am freakin’ ultra excited about this!
Pixar made it official this morning and original director Andrew Stanton confirms that a sequel to Finding Nemo is in the works for a 2016 release.
The original Finding Nemo was released in 2003 and grossed more than $878 million worldwide and garnered the film an Oscar for Best Animated Feature. As of right now though, it is unknown if actors Ellen DeGeneres, Albert Brooks, Alison Janney, Geoffrey Rush, will be reprising their voices to the film’s sea creatures for the new Nemo.
Finding Nemo 2 will be produced by Lindsey Collins, who worked with Stanton on WALL-E and John Carter.
Meanwhile, news of Finding Nemo 2 has sparked renewed interest in a fourth Toy Story film from Pixar.
And why not, Toy Story IV would be just momentous!
Can’t wait for this film!
